| Beschrijving keerzijde | Pale blue note with an elaborate interlocking guilloche rosette pattern forming the central underprint. A signature line for the bearer appears above centre with the instruction FIRMA DEL TENEDOR EN PRESENCIA DEL PAGADOR, and two further ruled lines at lower centre are labelled FECHA DE EMISION and FIRMA DEL TENEDOR respectively. The denomination DIEZ PESOS and numeral '10' are repeated at each corner and in the centre, with the notice CADUCA A LOS CINCO ANOS DE EMITIDO along the lower border. |

Cuba's Foreign Exchange Certificate series was introduced to soak up hard currency from tourists and diplomats while keeping convertible pesos entirely separate from the peso cubano used by the general population. This note belongs to the subset distinguished by a narrow form of the letter "C" in the series designation — a typographic variation significant enough to warrant its own Pick number, and one that collectors have spent considerable effort distinguishing from the wide-C variant under magnification.
Printed domestically by Impresos de Seguridad rather than farmed out to De La Rue or another Western security printer, the certificates reflect the constraints of the U.S. embargo.
