| Reverse description | A Catalan donkey (Burro autoctono de Gerona) is depicted standing in profile to the right on a grassy ground line, rendered in fine detail with naturalistic relief. A curved legend arches across the upper portion of the field identifying the series and the animal's name. The date '2007' appears to the right of the central device. The overall composition is characteristic of the Cuban 'Fauna Iberica' commemorative series. |

| Additional information |
The Burro de Gerona is a feral donkey population descended from animals abandoned in the Isla de la Juventud — formerly Isla de Pinos — when the region's agricultural operations collapsed during the early revolutionary period. Isolated from the mainland, the herd developed into a distinct feral population and became a protected symbol of the island's identity. Cuba's commemorative silver program of the 2000s drew heavily on endemic and regionally specific fauna that standard wildlife series routinely ignore.
