Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield with three horizontal blue and white stripes, a golden key between two landmasses, and a royal palm tree beneath a rising sun, all surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a staff, flanked by two branches of laurel and oak. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. The weight specification 20 G and the fineness mark AG 0.999 appear in the lower lateral fields to the left and right of the arms respectively. The face value 10 PESOS is inscribed in the lower exergual area.
