| 备注 |
Banco del Comercio was one of several provincial Argentine banks that issued their own paper currency during the brief free-banking period of the late 1860s, before the national government moved to consolidate monetary authority. Gualeguay, a river port town in Entre Ríos province, was commercially active enough to support a local bank of issue — but not for long. Most of these provincial institutions were wound up within a few years.
The denomination is expressed in Pesos Bolivianos, the dominant unit of account in the Río de la Plata region before the peso fuerte and later the peso moneda nacional displaced it. American Bank Note Company held the contract for several of these short-lived Argentine provincial issues simultaneously, often adapting existing plate elements across different clients.
