Reverse description The reverse presents a dynamic battle scene depicting three Cuban cavalry soldiers charging on horseback across a grassy terrain, rendered in high-relief against a mirror-polished field. The central rider carries aloft the Cuban independence flag bearing a lone star. An oval portrait medallion in the upper right shows a facing bust of General Calixto García. The curved legend 'GUERRA HISPANO - CUBANO - NORTEAMERICANA' arcs along the upper periphery, with 'CALIXTO GARCÍA - COMBATE EN ORIENTE' inscribed across the upper field. The word 'CENTENARIO' appears in large letters along the lower rim, and the date '1998' is engraved in the lower exergue beneath the mint mark.
