| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Mexican national arms in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, depicting the heraldic eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, grasping a serpent in its beak and talon. The eagle is shown in left-facing profile with wings slightly raised and elaborately detailed plumage rendered with fine frosted texture. A wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the base of the device. The curved legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters. |
