These brass 10 peso pieces circulated for an almost comically short window — within two years, the denomination had been effectively swallowed by inflation accelerating toward 1,200% annually, culminating in the 1985 Austral Plan that wiped out the currency entirely and replaced it at 1,000-to-1.
