Obverse description The obverse is a letterpress-printed emergency currency certificate on plain paper, framed by a decorative border of repeated ornamental units. The upper portion carries the heading 'Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate' above a block of authorizing text issued by authority of the President of the Philippines, with 'SERIES OF 1945' at left.
