The P#35 series ran across nearly a decade that included the end of Lázaro Cárdenas's presidency and the full sweep of Mexico's wartime economic adjustments. ABNC produced this note in New York, as it did most Mexican paper currency of the period — Banco de México had no domestic security printing capacity capable of handling volume production at that standard until well into the 1950s.

Dates within the 1937–1945 window matter: notes dated 1942–1945 circulated during wartime price pressures that pushed 10 pesos notes into heavy daily use, accelerating wear. Survivors in the upper grades tend to cluster around the 1937–1940 dates.
