Reverse description Printed in red-brown on an intricate guilloche underprint. The Nicaraguan Coat of Arms — a triangle enclosing a landscape of volcanic peaks above the sea — is set within an elaborate oval guilloche at centre, flanked symmetrically by two denomination panels each bearing the numeral 10 within concentric lathe-work rosettes. The legend REPÚBLICA DE NICARAGUA runs in bold letters along the lower margin, with the printer's imprint in small text at the foot.
