Obverse description The right half of this uncut specimen comprises the printed note face on light blue paper, with the bank's circular arms vignette at upper centre enclosed within an ornate engraved frame of acanthus scrollwork and floral corner pieces. The bank title EL BANCO ESPAÑOL FILIPINO appears on a central ribbon banner, below which two denomination panels read Ps 10. in letterpress, flanking the arms. A cursive promise text and date line run across the lower portion, with ruled lines for the signatures of El Tenedor de Libros, El Cajero, and El Director. The left stub retains the handwritten number and date fields alongside a large Ps 10 denomination in bold type.

Reverse description The reverse is printed on the same light blue paper and composed entirely of fine intaglio engraving. An elaborate symmetrical floral and arabesque vignette occupies the centre field, with interlacing scrollwork and rosette motifs above and below a horizontal cartouche bearing the denomination in bold serifed letters. The four corners each carry a guilloche medallion enclosing the numeral 10, while a dense interlocking border of geometric and foliate ornament frames the entire design.
Reverse lettering DIEZ DIEZ
(Translation: Ten Ten)
