Descrizione del dritto	Black and orange intaglio print on white cotton paper. The centre bears the ornate typographic title 'Banco Internacional' in large Gothic lettering, with the date 'Bogotá, 13 de Diciembre de 1884' and the obligation text 'Pagará al portador á la vista Diez Pesos en moneda corriente'. To the right, a classical allegorical vignette of Justice seated, holding scales and a sword, set against a lightly ruled guilloche underprint. Denomination numerals '10' appear in each corner, and the imprint 'American Bank Note Co. New York' is visible at lower right; the illustrated example is a Specimen with cancellation punch holes and overprinted 'SPECIMEN' in red.

Descrizione del rovescio	Printed entirely in brown on white cotton paper, the reverse centres on a large circular guilloche medallion bearing the numeral '10', surrounded by the bank name 'BANCO INTERNACIONAL' in curved lettering. The field is filled with intricate lathe-work rosette borders and geometric panel ornaments. A rectangular panel to the right is reserved for the cashier's signature and bears the inscription 'EL CAJERO'; the imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK' appears at the foot centre, and punch-hole cancellations are present on the specimen example.
