At upper centre, the bank title 'El Banco de la Unión' is set within an ornate frame, with 'Bogotá, Enero 1º de 1883' and series/number fields to the right. A classical allegorical female portrait vignette occupies the lower left, while the right portion carries a pastoral rural scene with a mounted horseman, cattle, and dogs rendered in fine line engraving.
