正面描述 Black on white unface note with ornate guilloche borders running along all four edges and corner medallions bearing the numeral 10. A left-centre oval vignette contains a lion passant, while a smaller circular vignette at the right carries the Argentine provincial arms. The central field bears a large intaglio guilloche underprint of the word "DIEZ" repeated, over which the denomination "DIEZ PESOS" appears in bold letterpress, accompanied by the manuscript text acknowledging payment in moneda corriente dated Abril 1867.

备注

The Banco y Casa de Moneda was one of several provincial institutions issuing paper money in Argentina well before any unified national currency existed — the Peso Moneda Corriente was a Buenos Aires instrument, not a federal one. By 1867 the province had decades of experience with inflationary crises, most notoriously the collapse of the Banco de la Provincia in the 1820s under Rivadavia, and public trust in provincial paper remained conditional at best.

The PS prefix in the Pick catalogue indicates this is classified under Argentine provincial and private issues — a crowded field where survival rates vary enormously by issuer and date. Cotton substrate was standard for the period and holds up reasonably well, though foxing at fold intersections is common on surviving Buenos Aires provincial notes of this decade.
