备注

The Junta de la Administración de la Casa de Moneda was Buenos Aires province's note-issuing body during the long Rosas period — a monetary arrangement that kept the province financially independent from the Argentine Confederation it refused to join. By 1844, the Casa de Moneda had been issuing inconvertible paper since the forced suspension of specie payments in 1826, a suspension that was never reversed during Rosas's rule and that lasted, effectively, until the 1860s.

Notes of this series were printed locally, making them significantly cruder than contemporaneous South American issues produced by European firms. Survival rates are low — Buenos Aires humidity and decades of rough circulation took a heavy toll on the paper stock.
