Beschrijving voorzijde	Steel-engraved note in blue-grey on a fine guilloche underprint, with the issuing title EL BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA, BOGOTÁ arched across the upper portion beneath the header ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA. A portrait vignette of George Washington occupies the lower left, while a classical allegorical female figure in helmet and armour appears in a corresponding oval vignette at the lower right. The central panel bears the denomination DIEZ PESOS / 10 DOLLARS in bold letterpress within an ornate cartouche, flanked by handwritten promise-to-pay text in Spanish and English. Corner numerals 10 repeat at each angle, and the serial number 490 appears at upper right.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Executed in blue-grey intaglio on a plain paper ground, the reverse is dominated by an elaborate central cartouche enclosing the bold lettering DIEZ PESOS, surrounded by concentric bands of fine guilloche engine-turning and repeating geometric ornament. The denomination numeral 10 appears in large corner counters at both left and right within scalloped frames. The overall design consists entirely of lathe-work patterns without pictorial vignettes, with a printer's imprint running along the lower margin.
