Obverse description Black intaglio on salmon guilloche underprint. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DE CHILE appears in ornate script across the upper portion, with the denomination DIEZ PESOS in a central cartouche flanked by large numeral 10 vignettes on each side, all surrounded by intricate guilloche lacework. The lower portion carries the inscription CONVERTIBLES EN ORO CONFORME A LA LEY, the city name SANTIAGO, an issue date, two signature lines with titles PRESIDENTE and GERENTE GENERAL, and the designation BILLETE PROVISIONAL, with the printer's imprint at the foot.
