| Obverse description | Laureate bust of King Nicholas I of Montenegro facing left, depicted in advanced age with a full beard, the laurel wreath tied at the nape. The Cyrillic legend arcs around the upper periphery reading НИКОЛА I Б.М.КРАЉ И ГОСПОДАР ЦРНЕ ГОРЕ, identifying him as King and Ruler of Montenegro by the grace of God. The regnal date range 1860–1910, flanked by raised dots, is inscribed along the lower rim, commemorating his fifty-year reign. The portrait is rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail characteristic of the original 1910 issue design. |
