| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is an unprinted trial state, showing only the underprint guilloche pattern consisting of a repeating all-over tint in muted green and ochre tones with stylised numeral '10' and architectural motifs. Three large unprinted blank ovals — one large central reserve and two smaller flanking reserves — mark the positions reserved for the main vignette and side motifs that were never applied, confirming the trial print status of this piece. |

| Opmerkingen |
The 1929 Magyar Nemzeti Bank 10 Pengő series (Pick 96) replaced the korona-era notes following Hungary's post-hyperinflation stabilization, with the pengő itself having been introduced in 1927 as part of a League of Nations-supervised reconstruction program. Trial prints from this period were produced to test ink saturation, plate registration, and paper stock before full production runs were authorized — they were never intended to reach circulation and most were retained by the printer or the bank's archive.
Trial impressions of this series occasionally surface without serial numbers or with color variants that differ from issued examples. Worth examining closely for any manuscript annotations or punch cancellations, both common methods used by Magyar Nemzeti Bank to mark proofs as void.
