Reverse description The reverse of the host Spanish colonial real features two crowned hemispheres flanked by two crowned pillars of Hercules, a design characteristic of the Lima mint 'macuquina' and milled coinage of the period. The British Jamaican counterstamp bearing the royal cypher 'GR' within a circular punch is applied over the reverse design. The mint mark 'LM' for Lima and the assayer initial appear within the legend, along with the date of the host coin.
