Reverse description A finely detailed, naturalistic depiction of a European Robin (Erithacus rubecula) standing in three-quarter view upon a small mound of earth and twigs, rendered in high relief with careful attention to plumage detail. The denomination legend TEN PENCE arches above the bird along the upper periphery, while the species name ROBIN appears in capital letters below along the lower periphery.
