Beschrijving voorzijde The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile wearing the George IV State Diadem, adorned with floral and foliate ornament, and a drop earring. The engraver's initials J.C appear in small relief below the truncation of the neck. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REG · F · D · TEN PENCE · 2018 · in capital letters, separated by raised pellets, with the denomination and date integrated into the standard royal titles.

Aanvullende informatie

Part of the Royal Mint's "Great British Coin Hunt" A–Z series, this issue was released across circulation in 2018 alongside 25 other alphabet-themed 10p pieces. The Royal Mint initially refused to confirm the full alphabet in advance, turning the release into a deliberate collecting exercise — a calculated move that reportedly drove the highest demand for circulating 10p coins in decades. Over 2.6 million of each design were struck, though uneven distribution meant some letters proved significantly harder to find in change than others.
