| Beschrijving keerzijde | A finely engraved, naturalistically detailed depiction of a Cuckoo Wrasse (Labrus mixtus) is centered in the field, shown in lateral profile with clearly rendered dorsal fin, scale patterning, and pectoral fins, as designed by Mike Langman. The denomination TEN PENCE is inscribed in a curved legend along the upper portion of the field, while CUCKOO WRASSE arcs along the lower rim. The composition highlights the fish in high relief against a smooth, unadorned field, emphasizing the naturalistic artistry of the design. No additional decorative elements appear in the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Guernsey has long issued themed 10 pence pieces featuring local marine life, a practice that distinguishes its coinage from the standardised designs of mainland British issues. The cuckoo wrasse, Labrus mixtus, is common in the waters around the Bailiwick and notable for its dramatic sexual dimorphism — males display vivid blue and orange colouration, females are reddish with dark dorsal spots. This is among the first Guernsey coins to bear the effigy of Charles III following his accession in September 2022.
