Below the tughra, a horizontal dividing line separates the mint and date inscription in Arabic script. The legend reads 'Struck in Constantinople, year 1223' (AH), referring to the Hijri regnal year. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a bold outer beaded border. |
