Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted centrally in the upper field, showing three lions atop an abacus featuring the Dharma Chakra wheel flanked by a bull and horse in relief. Below the emblem, the large numeral '10' dominates the lower field. The bilingual peripheral legend reads 'भारत' in Devanagari script to the upper left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the upper right, with 'पैसे' in Devanagari to the lower left and 'PAISE' in Latin to the lower right, all following the scalloped contour of the flan.
