| Reverse description | A stylized FAO wheat ear, composed of a single upright stalk with grain head and flanking leaves, dominates the central field. The numeral '१०' (10) appears above the grain head within the stalk. Devanagari legends are disposed around the design: 'श्री भवानी' at the top, 'दस' to the left and 'पैसा' to the right, with the FAO slogan 'बढ़ी अन्न ऊजाओ' arching along the lower field. The reverse commemorates the FAO campaign to increase food production. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization coin program, which recruited governments worldwide to mint special circulating pieces carrying agricultural messaging during the early 1970s. Nepal's participation coincided with Mahendra Bir Bikram's final years — he died in January 1972, less than a year after this issue — making it one of the last coins struck under his name.
