| Obverse description | Cream-coloured note printed in black letterpress with a large green underprint of the numeral '10' and the word 'øre' centred across the face. The issuer's name, 'Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani Aktieselskap', is set in elaborate Gothic script near the top, flanked by bordered panels indicating the series letter at left and serial number at right. The body of the note carries a full Norwegian-language text defining the terms of use, with the denomination '10 – Ti Øre' enclosed in a decorative cartouche at centre; two manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed to the Chairman of the Board and the Office Manager, Spitsbergen. |
