Reverse description The reverse displays the royal name and title of Baduila arranged in four lines within a wreath border: D N B / ADV / ILA / REX, reading Dominus Noster Baduila Rex. The laurel or olive wreath encircling the inscription is rendered in a stylized late antique manner, with berries or ties visible at the base. The monogram-like arrangement of the legend within the wreath is a characteristic feature of Ostrogothic 10 nummi coinage from the Rome mint. The field surface is slightly granular, consistent with hammered bronze fabric of the period. No exergual mark or mintmark is present.
