Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Anastasius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition. The emperor wears a pearl diadem and military cuirass, with drapery visible over the left shoulder. The portrait conveys a stylized, frontal authority characteristic of early Byzantine coinage. The legend encircles the bust, reading clockwise from the upper left field.

Reverse description Central field dominated by a large capital letter I, representing the numeral 10 in Greek notation (decanummium), flanked by pellets on either side or with a single pellet to the right. The denomination mark is bold and simply rendered, consistent with the small-module coinage of Anastasius I. A circular legend surrounds the central device, identifying the mint and invoking Concordia. No officina letter appears, distinguishing this issue within the Constantinopolitan series.
