| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a detailed bas-relief reproduction of a carved panel from the Piedra de Tizoc, the great sacrificial stone of the Aztec emperor Tizoc (r. 1481–1486), now housed in the Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City. The scene depicts two elaborately attired Aztec warrior figures in full ceremonial regalia, including feathered headdresses, shields, and ornate body armour, rendered in finely detailed high relief against a recessed field. The date appears to the left of the central device and the mint mark Mo to the right. Below the central panel, the legend PIEDRA DE TIZOC is inscribed within a rectangular cartouche, and the denomination N$10 appears in the lower field. The design is framed by the same repeating xiuhcoatl border as the obverse. |
