This note belongs to the "novi dinar" redenomination of January 1994, when Yugoslavia replaced the hyperinflation-era dinar at a rate of 1 novi dinar to 1 billion of the old currency — itself a second redenomination within months. The January 24th reform, engineered by Dragoslav Avramović, briefly stabilized the currency by pegging the novi dinar to the Deutschmark at parity. That peg held for roughly eleven months before fiscal pressures dismantled it entirely.
Printed entirely in-house at the ZIN facility in Belgrade, P#147 is one of relatively few Yugoslav notes of the period where full engraver credits are documented on both sides.
