Reverse description The reverse presents a richly detailed bilateral composition in high-relief proof rendering. To the right, a large portrait bust of the Queen of Sheba faces left in profile, her elaborate beaded crown, ornate circular earring, and intricately braided and beaded hair rendered with exceptional sculptural depth. To the left, set within an arched architectural frame evoking an ancient Near Eastern palace, King Solomon stands in full figure upon a stepped dais, robed in embroidered royal garments, his right hand raised to his chest in a gesture of greeting or address; two recumbent lions flank the steps of his throne. The two halves of the composition are separated by a vertical architectural pillar, uniting the two narrative scenes into a single tableau illustrating their legendary meeting. The field is otherwise unlettered, with all inscriptions relegated to the obverse.
