Obverse description Central field features two sinuous imperial dragons facing one another in high relief, their scaled bodies intertwined within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, rendered in Chinese characters, reads •大朝鮮 開國四百九十五年 (Great Joseon, 495th year of the founding), flanking the field on left and right. At the base of the legend, flanking a floral rosette, the Latin denomination 10 MUN appears in Roman numerals, while the Korean hangul 십문 is incorporated within the circular inscription. The entire design is contained within a finely toothed outer border.
