A licensed promotional item issued to coincide with a Simpsons-branded Monopoly edition released by Hasbro in 2003. Not legal tender, not a banknote — but it turns up regularly in general notaphily collections, presumably because its dimensions and construction closely mirror those of genuine small-format currency. Groening's character designs were adapted under the Fox licensing arrangement that governed most Simpsons merchandise of that period.
