Descrizione del dritto	A highly detailed rendering of a Bird of Paradise (Paradisaea) perched on a bare branch occupying the full field of the coin. The bird is depicted in profile facing left, its elongated ornamental plumage flowing dramatically upward and outward in sweeping arcs to fill the design space. Fine engraving captures the intricate texture of the feathers with exceptional naturalistic detail. The composition is framed by a beaded border encircling the entire design.

Descrizione del rovescio	Within an open palm wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow, the denomination is displayed in three lines: the numeral '10' above, followed by 'NEU-GUINEA' and 'MARK', with the date '1895' below. The mint mark 'A' appears in the exergue beneath the wreath. The legend 'NEU-GUINEA COMPAGNIE' curves along the upper periphery of the field. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded border.
