| 背面描述 | A large Imperial German crown, depicted in elaborate detail with arched bands, orb, and pendant ribbons (lappets) hanging beneath, occupies the upper central field. Below the crown, the denomination 10 MARK is displayed in two lines. The circular legend DEUTSCHES REICH with the date 1913 runs around the periphery, and a wreath of oak leaves frames the design along the inner border. |

Patterns for Ludwig III's coinage were struck in 1913, the year he assumed the Bavarian throne following the forced abdication of his mentally incapacitated father Ludwig II's successor, Otto I. The Schaaf 202a/G1 designation places this among a small group of silver-plated copper trials produced for official review — not intended for circulation and almost certainly struck in very limited numbers at the Munich mint. Whether this specific piece represents an approved or rejected submission is a question the Schaaf catalog leaves open.
