Obverse description Central field bears the bold denomination '10 MARK' in two lines, above which the mint mark 'A' (Berlin) appears at the top of the field. Below the denomination, the issuer legend 'DEUTSCHE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK' is inscribed in three horizontal lines across the field.
