| 正面描述 | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Adolf Friedrich V, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, depicted as an elderly gentleman with a full beard and naturalistically rendered hair. The high-relief portrait occupies the majority of the field, executed in a finely detailed academic style. A circular legend in Latin script reads 'ADOLF FRIEDRICH GROSSH. V. MECKLENBURG STREL.' around the periphery, bordered by a beaded inner rim. The mint mark 'A' for the Berlin Mint appears at the base of the truncation. |

Adolf Friedrich V ruled Mecklenburg-Strelitz for just six years before his sudden death in 1914 — found shot at Neustrelitz in what was officially ruled a suicide, though the circumstances were never fully resolved. His gold issues are scarce by any measure, the result of a tiny state with a correspondingly tiny mint authorization. Mecklenburg-Strelitz was one of the smallest and least populous of the German imperial states, and its coinage output reflects that directly.
The 1905 date is the only year for this denomination under his name.
