The central inscription "Zehn Mark" in large bold Gothic script is headed by the issuing authority title "Kriegsnotgeld der Stadt Landsberg a/Lech", with the numeral "10" at each lower corner, the place-and-date line "Landsberg, April 1919" centred below, and the Bürgermeister facsimile signature above the designation "Stadtmagistrat / rechtsk. Bürgermeister". The validity clause "Gültig bis auf Widerruf" appears at upper left, and the serial number is printed in red at upper right. |

The reverse omits the red serial number found on the obverse; the validity clause "Gültig bis auf Widerruf" is retained at upper left, and the redemption clause naming the three local bank branches appears at the foot. |
