| Obverse description | Printed in green on cream paper, the note carries an elaborate guilloche border with the issuer inscription STADT FRANKFURT A.M. repeated along all four margins in letterpress. The central panel, framed by a bold cartouche, bears the denomination legend GUTSCHEIN ÜBER ZEHN MARK in large Gothic type, flanked at each corner by bold numeral 10 denominators. Below the denomination, a smaller text block states the redemption terms alongside a central vignette of the Frankfurt civic eagle coat of arms, with the date FRANKFURT a.M., 15. Okt. 1918 and the magistrate's manuscript signature to the right. |
