背面描述 The reverse is dominated by a dense guilloche underprint of repeating circular medallions incorporating the Crefeld city arms and the numeral 10, printed in pale brown tones across the entire field. At centre, a rectangular vignette enclosed by an Art Nouveau-style frame with rosette corner ornaments presents a harbour scene with river barges, a steamboat, industrial cranes, and warehouse buildings along the waterfront; the crowned city arms appears above the vignette at top centre. Below the vignette, a shield-shaped cartouche carries the denomination 10 MARK in bold letterpress.

备注

Krefeld's wartime notgeld program was among the more administratively tidy in the Rhineland — the city's textile wealth meant local businesses could backstop municipal paper even as the imperial financial system buckled under war expenditure. This 10 Mark piece, signed by Oberbürgermeister Johansen, was issued under the emergency currency provisions that allowed German municipalities to cover acute small-denomination shortages when Reichsbank notes were being hoarded or simply weren't reaching circulation in sufficient volume.

Worms & Lüthgen were a local Crefeld firm, not a specialist security printer, which is why the guilloche underprint does the heavier lifting on deterrence. The series was demonetized following the stabilization measures of 1919.
