| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark brown on a pale ground with an elaborate guilloche underprint in reddish-brown, framed by a finely scalloped decorative border. The issuer's name "Stadt Marktredwitz" appears in bold Fraktur lettering at the upper left, with the serial number at the upper right. The denomination "Zehn Mark" is rendered in large, ornate Gothic script at the centre, above which the word "Gutschein" appears in a decorative cartouche, while a two-line text citing the collegial resolutions of 5 and 15 November 1918 and the Stadtmagistrat's authority is set below, accompanied by two facsimile signatures and the printer's imprint "Gebr. Parcus, München" at the lower right. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in reddish-brown on a fine blue guilloche underprint. A central vignette presents three heraldic shields — the Bavarian lozenge arms flanking a central cartouche surmounted by a lion rampant, with a wheel device to the right — below a six-line Early New High German devotional verse in Gothic script, and the date "1642" set beneath the shields. At the foot of the note, a redemption notice in Roman type states that the Notgeld will be called in by public announcement no later than 1 February 1919. |
