A central circular vignette contains a rampant heraldic lion above the large Fraktur denomination inscription 'Zehn Mark'; the numeral '10' appears in each corner. The date and issuing authority are set in letterpress below the vignette, and a red rectangular cancellation overstamp reading 'Außer Kurs gesetzt' is applied to the upper left. |

A large central oval vignette carries a neoclassical allegorical scene of two putti, one eating fruit and one carrying a platter of round fruits, rendered in fine line engraving. The reverse is otherwise unlettered. |
