备注

Breslau's municipal administration issued emergency money — Notgeld — in 1918 as the wartime coin shortage made small-denomination transactions increasingly unworkable. The city's own printer, Grass, Barth & Comp. (operating under the W. Friedrich imprint), handled production locally, which was common for Silesian municipal issues but gave this series a distinctly regional character compared to Notgeld contracted out to Berlin or Leipzig firms.

Breslau would pass to Poland in 1945 and be renamed Wrocław. Notes like this one were long obsolete by then, but they survive in quantity — Notgeld was widely saved as curiosities from the moment of issue.
