Large numeral '10' underprints appear in olive-grey on both the left and right flanks of the composition. The legend 'Kriegs-Notgeld' runs across the top in bold Fraktur script, with 'Stadt Gießen' divided across the lower corners, all rendered on a fine guilloche ground. |
