| Beschrijving voorzijde | The arms of Lübeck displayed as a double-headed eagle with wings spread, each head facing outward, the bodies conjoined at the breast where a plain shield is superimposed. The eagle stands upon an elaborate foliate and scroll base, and the mint mark 'A' appears in the lower field flanked by two pellets. The circular legend surrounding the central device reads 'FREIE UND HANSESTADT LÜBECK', set within a beaded border. The overall composition is rendered in a bold, high-relief engraving style characteristic of Imperial German coinage of the period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The crowned imperial eagle of the German Reich occupies the central field, displayed with wings spread and adorned with an ornate breast shield bearing the quartered arms of the empire; the eagle's neck is encircled by a chain of the Order of the Black Eagle. The denomination '10 MARK' appears in the lower field, flanked by a five-pointed star on either side. The surrounding legend 'DEUTSCHES REICH' arcs across the upper portion of the field, with the date of issue appearing to the right, all contained within a beaded border. The design is consistent with the standard reverse type employed across all German state gold coinage of the Wilhelmine era. |
