Obverse description	The obverse is executed in tones of red and pink on a multicoloured underprint, with a portrait vignette of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy at right centre, rendered in fine intaglio line work against a guilloche background. At left, a map of Turkmenistan is flanked by a circular vignette with the national emblem and a large numeral '10' in red. The issuing authority inscription and a legal tender clause appear along the lower margin.

Reverse description	The reverse, in similar red and pink tones over a pale guilloche underprint, carries a central vignette of the Türkmenbaşy Central Bank building in Ashgabat, rendered in fine lithographic detail. A large numeral '10' appears at lower right within an ornamental frame, and a windmill-style OVI security element is visible at centre right. The bank name and the motto 'XXI ASYR – TÜRKMENIN ALTYN ASYRY' are inscribed along the upper register.
