Obverse description Plain white note printed entirely in letterpress. The denomination "Dix livres Tournois" appears in the upper right corner, with a serial number at upper left. The body of the note carries the promise-to-pay text in French, dated "le premier Janvier mil sept cens vingt" at Paris, followed by three lines of authorization bearing the names of the supervising and signing officers of the Banque Royale.
