Obverse description A tall clock tower vignette occupies the left portion of the note against a fine guilloche underprint in purple. The bank title appears in French at the top and in Arabic below, with the denomination stated as DIX LIVRES in bold lettering at centre and repeated in Arabic script. Date and place of issue read DAMAS 1er SEPTEMBRE 1939, flanked by two manuscript signatures, with the serial number appearing twice and the reimbursement clause printed in both French and Arabic.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large central oval vignette presenting a coastal harbour scene with sailing vessels and rocky outcrops on calm waters, executed in fine intaglio line work. The numeral 10 appears in large format within decorative cartouches to the left and right, labelled LIVRES and ليرة respectively, all set against an elaborate guilloche background in purple and rose tones. The denomination DIX LIVRES is inscribed at the foot of the note, with the bank name in Arabic along the top border.
