正面描述 The obverse depicts the Vytis, the historic Lithuanian coat of arms, rendered as an armoured knight on horseback galloping to the right, raising a sword aloft in his right hand and bearing a decorated shield on his left arm. The denomination '10 LITŲ' appears in large characters in the lower left field, with the country name 'LIETUVA' inscribed in an arc along the lower portion of the coin. The engraver's initials are present in the lower central field. The design is struck in proof-like relief against a polished field, characteristic of commemorative issues of the Lithuanian Mint.

附加信息

The World Lithuanian Games (Pasaulio lietuvių žaidynės) were established to maintain athletic and cultural ties between Lithuania and its diaspora — communities scattered primarily across the United States, Canada, and Australia following the Soviet occupation of 1940. The 1995 edition was only the second held after Lithuanian independence was restored in 1990, carrying particular weight as the country was still rebuilding national institutions from scratch.

Copper-nickel commemoratives of this period from the Lithuanian Mint were issued in relatively modest quantities, aimed squarely at the diaspora collector market rather than general circulation.
